PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - SESSION ONE - 1.5 HOURS ONLINE MENTORING
Timings to be confirmed (1.5 Hour Session) - Online Zoom
1-2-1 online zoom theory session which will prepare you for the practical session of making the most of photographing the Puffins within their natural environment. This first session will enable you to get to grips with your equipment, which lenses to use on the practical workshops, settings and how best to capture the puffins on the day.
We will also explore movement and composition within this session, which will help you prepare.
Also looking at the Atlantic Breeding Puffins habitat and relationship with each other during the breeding season, other nesting and breeding seabirds which you will also get an opportunity to see and photograph on the day. These include shags, guillemots, razorbill, kittiwakes, eider ducks, artic terns and the grey seal habitat too.
ATLANTIC BREEDING PUFFINS WORKSHOP - SESSION TWO
Timings to be confirmed (Two Hour Session) - The Farne Islands by Boat
Photography the Atlantic Breeding Puffins in their natural environment, including other breeding seabirds and seal habitat.
It’s also a chance to photograph the magnificent scenery of the farne islands and Northumberland’s iconic coastline.

Online zoom 1.5 hour, a chance for us to look through and critique your images from the day picking out the best to create a portfolio.
Question and answer session

1-2-1, 2-2-1 and group bookings, maximum 6 spaces available to ensure plenty of individual attention if needed. If you wish to make a group booking of over three a reduction in cost will be added. Booking early is essential

Accommodation, you may need to stay in Northumberland for at least for one night, to be able to successfully complete the workshop (Booking early is essential to secure a room)
Food and Beverages, although you will be encouraged to bring along your own drink/snack during the course of the workshop

Emma will encourage you to explore your own creativity whilst photographing the Atlantic Breeding Puffins, giving you support and encouragement to develop your own techniques, helping with guidance through advice, technical knowledge, the creative aspect of photography and composition, enabling you to successfully capture some truly beautiful imagery of these magical birds.
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
Emma has been based on Holy Island (also known as Lindisfarne) as a professional photographer for 14 years, she has been actively photographing Holy Island for 20 years in all lights and seasons, so her local knowledge of the islands geology and tidal system is second to none. She fully understands the light and the best places to photograph at the best times of day on this ever changing tidal island nestled in the north sea.
